Log in to HandiTax and Select the tax return.
Navigate to the Family Trust Election (FTE) Schedule, then click Edit.
Check all address fields:
Ensure Line 1 of all addresses is completely filled out.
This includes addresses for the trustee, trust, and any other relevant parties.
Answer Item 4:
Select the appropriate answer to the question: "Was the central management and control outside Australia?".
Complete Item 5:
If a Tax File Number (TFN) does not exist, place an ‘X’ in the box provided.
After completing all address details and answering Items 4 and 5, click Errors.
If further SBR errors appear:
These may be genuine errors.
Review the error messages carefully, as they may require additional information related to the Family Trust Election.
