In HandiLedger, you can quickly edit existing assets and even add notes if required.

Edit Assets
Log in to HandiLedger and select your entity.
Go to View, Depreciation Schedule.
Highlight the depreciation schedule containing the asset you want to edit.
In the lower half of the window, click the tab containing the asset, e.g., Current assets or Disposed assets.
Highlight the asset, click Asset, and then click Edit.
When you have completed your edits, click Save and then Close.
Asset notes
Log in to HandiLedger and select your entity.
Go to View, Depreciation Schedule.
Highlight the depreciation schedule containing the asset you want to edit.
In the lower half of the window, click the tab containing the asset, e.g., Current assets or Disposed assets.
Highlight the asset, click Asset, and then click Edit.
Click Notes, then click Edit.
Enter a brief explanatory note about the asset, then click Save.
Note: Assets with notes are displayed with an N in the first column in the Depreciation Schedules window.
Depreciation history
Log in to HandiLedger and select your entity.
Go to View, Depreciation Schedule.
Highlight the depreciation schedule containing the asset you want to edit.
In the lower half of the window, click the tab containing the asset, e.g., Current assets or Disposed assets.
Highlight the asset, click Asset, and then click Edit, then click the Depreciation button.
Note: The depreciation history cannot be edited.
